Sew - Baby - Happy
March 2, 2008 by willowluna

I’ve spent the past week making wee gifts for a friend’s baby. Yesterday was her shower, and now I can share since they have been gifted. It was so satisfying to hand-make the entire gift, save the board book, for the highly anticipated little one.

The patchwork part of the bag is made from some of the fabric that I used to make L3’s quilt this past summer, as well as one of his tank-tops.

One of the bibs sports the cotton flannel I purchased last autumn after falling in love with it. The other two cotton flannels are also loved now, too. I decided to give little JH a themed bib set since he has a quilt (made by Val of Hobbies of a Domestic Goddess on the side bar) with a woodsy design.

Finally, I sewed up two pair of cloth baby shoes. This is the first time I’ve made them with a cloth bottom instead of a leather bottom. They’re so tiny! It’s hard to remember feet so wee when my babies aren’t that small now.
