At last my Cup O’ Green is finished and photographed! The final product is incredibly comfortable and I love the yarn. First, some photographs for you, then the stats for those interested.
Stats:
Pattern: Buttercup by Heidi Kirrmaier
Yarn: Hempathy, color Vivid Green (017)
Needles: US 4s and US3s
I did make some modifications which can be read in my journal on Ravelry. One of them included ripping out 3 inches or more after it was finished and blocked. I just didn’t like the length. It is now shorter and a bit less wide. I LOVED the yarn. It was so much softer on my hands that knitting with linen, but gives the same wonderful drape. It bloomed in a lovely way after washing and is very soft. It’s lightweight for warmer weather, but I think it will be great for layering in cooler weather. I was so excited to knit this pattern that I dropped all other projects to make it. It was worth it. *happy sigh*

I love that sweater—the green is perfect for a summery sweater. And that skirt, too, is lovely.
I LOVE IT!!! It looks fabulous, Lindsey!
I love it L2… just too cute! And the skirt only needs 2 1/2 yards!! (she had bought 5yds, not used 5yds)
Good job– did you make your skirt, too? That fabric is cute.
Rachael, I did make my skirt, thanks. It’s a simplicity pattern that I made about two years ago.
Kerry–I went back and read the post, too, so I was wondering. Yippie–now you’ll have your skirt to go with your Buttercup. =)
Lovely !
So pretty! Great job!
Love the neckline. You look great!
REALLY nice Lindsey–love the skirt too, and the foxgloves!
That is a gorgeous sweater.
I love the detail at the collar.
Is that digitalis? It’s very pretty.
Lindsey, I love it! It looks so beautiful on you. More importantly, your foxglove is blooming? Why is mine doing nothing this year? My 2nd year with it, and all I have are a few low to the ground leaves. Advice for the newbie to gardening?
Thanks.
Patti, I have no idea about the foxglove. We planted it late last summer, after blooming was done, and now it is blooming. I’m excited that it lived and came back! I’ve done absolutely nothing to it–not even sure if it has been watered except for rainfall. We liked it so much that L1 brought two more home. Maybe yours will shoot up soon?
