To coincide with the 2008 Summer Olympics, over on Ravelry is Ravelympics. The challenge is to start a project today and finish it by the closing ceremonies. There are a number of different categories, including WIPS Wrestling. I’m signed up for the Sweater Sprint event. Last night before bed I did my “training” (gauge swatch) and today I’ll cast on and get going. Here are some stats:
Pattern: Lotus Blossom Tank, by Sharon Shoji
Yarn: Recycled Yarn (85% silk, 15% cashmere, yum!) from jocelyngermany.etsy.com, color Grape (purchased in July!)
Needles: Looks like I’ll be going down a needle size from the pattern, to US 4s
Besides the “training” I also need to make more stitch markers for the lace pattern portion. And follow some modifications I’ve found through Ravelry to give this a better fit and make it a little longer. With luck, and speed, I’ll have this done before the weather turns, though I think I’ll be able to layer things under this. And, I’m off!
