Sometimes we take a step on a path and recognize the change it is going to bring to our lives. Other times we are so completely unaware of what such a small change in direction makes that when we find ourselves in a new place we don’t recognize the impetus for it. Then there are the moments in between–we know something different will come, but we have no idea what that might be.
Today is the third anniversary for my blog. When I began writing in this space I was at a point of flux and was seeking out change and community. I found those and more. Today I celebrate the unknown that has been in my life over the past three years. In particular, two things of late.
- The e-course Inside Out, which I never would have found without the community of blogland, and the self I have found throughout it.
- An engine, and the bus to which it belongs.
That would be a 1971 VW Westfalia. (More pictures here.) I have learned so much about its engine the past month and will continue to do so as I am still so woefully ignorant. In the end, it’s the perfect result of Inside Out, because I’m doing something I’ve always wanted to do, learn about an engine and how to work on it. (No, the course is NOT why we now have the bus…)
To celebrate today with you, of course, I’ll be hosting a give-away! Here are the potential prizes:
- a grocery tote
- a log cabin sachet
- dehydrated apples in a bulk food bag
(maybe black & white stripped or a polka-dotted bag)
(colorway of your choice!)
What do you have to do? Share one joyful, happy unknown that has occurred in your life over the past three years. Want another way to win? See that bus above? We’re working on naming it. Right now our top choice is Serenity (though in moments of frustration I call her Bessy). Give me a name suggestion and that will give you an entry. Share an unknown and a name, TWO entries. Tell me just how much you love me? You win by default! Just kidding…. 🙂
