Yesterday was World Wide Knit in Public Day. Now, I knit in public all the time anyway, but it was fun to get a picture of it (or for L1 to… I couldn’t quite get the angle and knit at the same time!).
I have four projects traveling in my bag right now, two of which I am working on with diligence, and a fifth on my bedside shelf. Then, of course, there are those hibernating, of which there are several, says my Ravelry notebook. I’ve been trying hard to stick with working on just one or two of late, but I’ll admit that sometimes my hands and my brain get bored with working on the same thing for hours and hours and so I like to switch up the knitting. Or I’ll jump to another creative medium, like sewing or baking.
When teaching I know that I have to change up class time every 20 minutes or so to help refocus attentions, so I try not to be harsh with myself for “not sticking to one project.” If I can be gentle with my students, I should be gentle with myself. What a practice!
