Our garden’s first year (2006)–and maybe the best–it was so beautiful!
Are you interested in having your own garden, but don’t know where to start? Do you dabble in growing, but want to do more? Are you an avid gardener who loves to learn about what others do in their own growing? Care nothing for gardening, but like to learn about how others spend their time?
Get ready for my “How Does Your Garden Grow” series of interviews! Now through Monday please leave questions you might want to ask people who have gardens. I have my own series of questions I’ll be asking the interviewees, but thought my readers (or the interviewees themselves!) might want to leave some potential questions here.
Our cold frame, with lettuce all cozy & green, in the middle of winter.
I can’t think of a question yet (but I’ll ponder). I just wanted to say that your vege garden is inspiring! Ours is starting it’s first year now…I can only hope it turns out half as productive as yours looks!
Hmm, cold frame? How does that work exactly? Living in South Dakota, I am very interested in any methods that would prolong our short growing season. (Since we are still renting an apartment and don’t have our own yard to garden, I haven’t really done much research yet.) I’d love to hear any advice you have on that topic!
I too am interested in cold frames! That’s an area of gardening I haven’t ventured into yet.
I love your garden…it is a work of art! The lettuce is going great despite the snowy weather. What type of lettuce/spinach etc do you use?
My two favorite types of lettuce are black seeded simpson and red salad bowl lettuce. Both are leaf lettuces that are beautiful to look at and tasty to eat! My kids are huge fans of the red salad bowl lettuce.
