I hadn’t done a home practice in awhile. When I started L4 ran and grabbed our kid-sized mat, unfurled it, sat down and began to chant with me. I love this more than I can say. It’s so sweet and my heart literally expands hearing her little voice next to me.
When I started my warm up poses and sun salutations she kept up her practice next to me. Eventually she went in her own direction, as she often does, creating her own “kid poses” as she calls them. In the end, my own practice felt so much better, more alive and playful because of the open spirit of my daughter practicing next to me.
Those are the moments I try to hold on to and remember in the more, shall we say, challenging times? Wishing you all an alive and playful Tuesday!
So beautiful. I am not sure if there is anything better then watching a child in their own practice. Thanks for sharing
Eben likes to do yoga with me too, especially the sun salutations.
Great photos.
So lovely! And I know what you mean – when our little people join us in something we love, and show such an interest and joy, aaaaah ….. my heart feels huge and full of light. 🙂
I’ve been working on a home practice and it is really a fun adventure. How fun to have L4 join in!
